Patricia Zettler, JD, associate professor of Law in the College of Law, has earned the 2023 Early Career Distinguished Scholar Award. “It’s a privilege to be your colleague,” said Zettler upon learning of her award. “It’s a joy to work at a place that has such tremendous support for our scholarship and interdisciplinary connections and that enables us to do impactful research.”

Matthew Sullivan, PhD, professor of microbiology in the College of Arts and Sciences with a joint appointment in the Department of Civil and Geodetic Engineering, has earned The Ohio State University 2023 Distinguished Scholar Award.

Mohit Randeria, PhD, professor of physics in the College of Arts and Sciences, has earned The Ohio State University 2023 Distinguished Scholar Award. ERIK senior leadership surprised Randeria with the honor at a recent virtual faculty meeting.  

Christin Burd, PhD, associate professor in the Department of Molecular Genetics, College of Arts and Sciences, and the Department of Cancer Biology and Genetics, College of Medicine, has earned The Ohio State University 2023 Early Career Distinguished Scholar Award.

Christo Sevov, PhD, assistant professor in the College of Arts and Sciences Chemistry and Biochemistry department, has earned The Ohio State University 2023 Early Career Distinguished Scholar Award. Senior leadership in the Enterprise for Research, Innovation and Knowledge surprised Sevov with the honor at a recent faculty meeting. 

Xiaodong Zhang, PhD, the Robert M. Critchfield Professor in Engineering in the Computer Science and Engineering Department, has earned The Ohio State University 2023 Distinguished Scholar Award in recognition of decades of research leadership. Senior leadership in the Enterprise for Research, Innovation and Knowledge surprised Zhang with the honor at a recent faculty meeting. 

Adélékè Adéẹ̀kọ́, PhD, Distinguished Professor of Humanities in the Department of English and interim chair of the African American and African Studies (AAAS) department, has earned The Ohio State University 2023 Distinguished Scholar Award in recognition of decades of research leadership.

Mohler will lead efforts to grow research and creative expression, advance research partnerships and identify emerging opportunities.
