The Enterprise for Research, Innovation and Knowledge (ERIK) and the Office of Advancement are excited to streamline and elevate Ohio State’s work with corporations and private foundations through a consolidated unit – Corporate and Foundation Engagement (CFE). CFE has blended the roles and responsibilities of three previously distinct offices: Corporate Partnerships in ERIK and Corporate Relations and Foundation Relations in Advancement.
The CFE team is led by Associate Vice President Dr. Luiza Newlin-Lukowicz and has a dual reporting structure to the executive vice president for ERIK and the vice president for Development in the Office of Advancement. Associate Vice President Alissa Comella has stepped into a new role, reporting directly to the EVP for ERIK, focused on the cultivation of high value corporate partnerships.
Serving as a one-stop shop, CFE will position Ohio State as a preferred academic partner to industry-leading corporations and prestigious private foundations. Its charge is to advance Ohio State’s priorities and enterprise-wide interests, which will require effective close collaboration with university leaders, colleges, and units. CFE’s integrated structure will allow it to leverage Ohio State’s distinct research advantage, strategic investments, and the growth of key industries across Ohio to establish the university as a national leader in corporate and foundation sponsored research and philanthropy.
In the coming months, team roles and portfolios may shift. CFE team members will communicate these changes to relevant internal and external partners.
