Brian J. Skinner, PhD, assistant professor of physics in the College of Arts and Sciences, has earned The Ohio State University 2024 Early Career Distinguished Scholar Award. Senior leadership in the Enterprise for Research, Innovation and Knowledge recently surprised Skinner with the honor during a department meeting.    

Robyn Warhol, PhD, College of Arts and Sciences Distinguished Professor of English, has earned The Ohio State University 2024 Distinguished Scholar Award. Senior leadership in the Enterprise for Research, Innovation and Knowledge recently surprised Warhol with the honor during a virtual department meeting.     

Sara M. Butler, PhD, professor and King George III Chair in British History in the College of Arts and Sciences, has earned The Ohio State University 2024 Distinguished Scholar Award. Senior leadership in the Enterprise for Research, Innovation and Knowledge recently surprised Butler with the honor at a department meeting.    

Amal Amer, MD, PhD, professor of microbial infection and immunity in the College of Medicine, has earned The Ohio State University 2024 Distinguished Scholar Award. Senior leadership in the Enterprise for Research, Innovation and Knowledge and the College of Medicine recently surprised Amer with the honor.    

Smita Mathur, PhD, Professor of Astronomy in the College of Arts and Sciences, has earned The Ohio State University 2024 Distinguished Scholar Award. Senior leadership in the Enterprise for Research, Innovation and Knowledge recently honored Mathur at a department meeting.

Joshua J. Joseph, MD, MPH, FAHA, associate professor and Endowed Professor for Research in Internal Medicine in the College of Medicine, has earned The Ohio State University 2024 Early Career Distinguished Scholar Award.

Ohio State’s annual R&D expenditures set a new university record of $1.449 billion in FY23. The new number represents a 6% increase over FY22 expenditures of $1.36 billion.
