Vice President for Knowledge Enterprise, Dorota Grejner-Brzezinska, invites all interested and eligible faculty to attend a virtual informational briefing on the 2023 President’s Research Excellence (PRE) program on Monday, Nov. 7, from 2 – 3 p.m. Included in the briefing will be an overview of the goals and requirements of the program, examples of the type of projects and teams the program intends to support, and information about modifications made for the 2023 competition. The briefing will be recorded and posted to the PRE website as a resource for all interested PRE applicants. Registration to attend the briefing is required through the link to the left.
PRE, which includes Accelerator and Catalyst grant opportunities, provides seed support for cross- and interdisciplinary research to help enable curiosity-driven research and discoveries, address large, complex societal challenges, and attract external funding. The application portals for the 2023 Catalyst and Accelerator competitions will open on October 15, 2022, with Catalyst concept papers due Jan. 6, 2023 and Accelerator proposals due on May 5, 2023.
