The BIIG Start Award provides financial and programmatic support to Ohio State faculty as they explore exciting ideas for interdisciplinary collaboration, form unified and effective teams, and prepare to launch novel research agendas positioned for future extramural funding.
The BIIG Start Award is a team development seed funding mechanism offered as part of BIIG Collaborations, an Ohio State Enterprise for Research, Innovation, and Knowledge Office of Knowledge Enterprise (OKE) program that helps researchers overcome traditional silos and conquer barriers to interdisciplinary research.
Teams who have participated in past events as part of BIIG Collaborations, may be awarded up to $10,000 (though most awards will be in the $3,000-$7,000 range) to fund proposed team formation activities and further the development of their BIIG Ideas.
