Every two years, the National Science Foundation (NSF) solicits proposals for unique research infrastructure that fills a gap in the United States' innovation capabilities. The Mid-Scale Research Infrastructure (Mid-Scale RI) program offers two funding levels: Mid-Scale RI-1 ($400K-$20M) and Mid-Scale RI-2 ($20-$100M).
Teams considering for the next Mid-Scale cycle, anticipated to launch in fall 2024, should plan to join the Office of Knowledge Enterprise research development team for an information session on Feb. 14 at noon. During the session, previous Mid-Scale RI winners from Ohio State will share insight about winning and executing on Mid-Scale awards. This session will also kick off a Call for Ideas for teams to request concept and proposal development support for Mid-Scale ideas.
