About this event

Join the Office of Knowledge Enterprise for an Early Career Federal Funding Opportunities Overview on January 18 from noon to 1 p.m. via Zoom. This webinar will help early career faculty learn more about and pursue funding opportunities with the Department of Defense (DOD, which includes Army, Navy and Air Force), Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Department of Energy (DOE) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). There will also be time for discussion and questions.

This is the first in a series of events that the research development team is hosting that is focused on significantly increasing early career research awards from federal agencies where the university sees lower than desirable numbers of proposals and awards. These agencies fund a wide range of basic and applied research spanning natural and mathematical sciences, social and behavioral sciences, and engineering fields, yet their early career offerings are not widely pursued by Ohio State faculty. In contrast, there is a broader awareness of opportunities within NSF and NIH, along with existing, successful efforts to promote faculty success.
