The Research Development Office will host a briefing from 1 - 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2022 to provide interested researchers with an overview of the current National Science Foundation (NSF) Scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Program (S-STEM) opportunity.
Research Development Specialist Kimberly Pratt will provide the context for the release of the current solicitation, describe the current funding opportunity, provide a synopsis of previously funded NSF S-STEM proposals (including recent Ohio State successes) and include recommendations for a competitive proposal. The briefing will also discuss how the Research Development Office can assist interested teams. The current NSF S-STEM opportunities provide funding that ranges from $100,000/1 year for planning grants up to $5,000,000 over six years for inter-institutional consortia projects. Ohio State is limited to two proposal submissions overall, including as a subawardee or member of a consortium. A Limited Submission competition will be held in November and full proposals are due February 20, 2023.
