The Ohio State Office of Knowledge Enterprise (OKE) in collaboration with STEAM Factory is here to help! We are excited to present BIIG Collaborations @ STEAM Factory - a series of networking events held at the STEAM Factory’s Franklinton location that are aimed at breaking down traditional research silos, facilitating new connections, and launching your next BIIG Idea in Biotechnology.
Faculty (all ranks, all tracks), research staff and post-docs are invited to:
- Present a one-slide lightning introduction to your research
- Participate in focused (and fun!) engagement activities to expand your network and find collaborators
- Learn about upcoming internal funding opportunities that will help you develop effective interdisciplinary teams
Please submit your slide overview of research and collaboration needs (see link at left) and RSVP by October 7th to be included in the lightning introductions.
Biotechnology is considered a critical and emerging technology and a priority technology area for federal agency missions and research and development efforts. It is poised to make significant impacts in affecting change to many societal challenges, including improving health outcomes against diseases and cancer, reducing fossil-fuel dependencies, combatting climate change, remediating contaminated environments, and alleviating global food insecurity.
