Briefing: National Science Foundation Synthesis Center for Molecular and Cellular Sciences Opportunity

Research Development Specialist Stephanie Buehler will provide the context for the release of the current solicitation, describe the current funding opportunity, provide a synopsis of previously-funded NSF synthesis centers, and discuss insights for a competitive synthesis center proposal. The briefing will also discuss how the Research Development Office can assist interested teams. The current NSF Synthesis Center for Molecular and Cellular Sciences opportunity will fund one synthesis center with up to $20 million over five years, with the potential for an additional five years of funding. The opportunity has a January 2023 preliminary proposal deadline, with full proposals due July 2023.
